Yves Saint Laurent x Tom Ford F/W 2004 Wedges

This is a very special pair of shoes from Tom Ford's last ever collection at Yves Saint Laurent presented in Paris in March 2004 and it is widely regarded as one of the most talked-about finales in fashion history. Tom Ford closed his time at the house by revisiting Saint Laurent's own archive, drawing on YSL's 1977 "Les Chinoises" collection, the one that had launched the house's era-defining Opium fragrance. These heels carry that Chinoiserie mood directly: burugundy velvet, a red leather footbed, and a lacquered red heel finished in a rich, saturated red reminiscent of the original collection's palette.
