Valentino F/W 2006 Runway Side Mesh Gown

This piece is from Valentino Autumn/Winter 2006 collection, from the later years of Valentino Garavani reign and an incredible showcase of the couture-level embellishment the house is famed for. Cut as a floor-length black silk gown, it is defined by a sheer mesh panel sweeping diagonally across the bodice and down one side, intricately embroidered with beaded and sequinned scalloped and floral motifs. Fine straps, a deep scooped back and a fluid chiffon cascade trailing from the side complete the silhouette. A dramatic, red-carpet worthy Valentino archive piece.
