Area NYC Couture Embroidered Fox Skirt - a longer version of this piece was worn on the Area Fall Couture 2023 runway, highlighting its transformative drama in motion. Sculpted in a trompe l’oeil fox motif, the piece is brought to life through dense, hand-applied sequins in tonal shades of fuchsia, burgundy and jet black, meticulously arranged in directional herringbone patterns to mimic the texture of fur. The pointed hem and crystal-encrusted face nod to couture-level costume artistry, while the sharp asymmetry creates dynamic movement when worn. Designed to sit low on the waist, it pairs best with a minimal top and thigh-high boots.
